displayed post time for logged in users IS affected by AdminCP 'Enable Daylight Savings' setting...why?
VB 5.6.4, users who dst set to automatic in their userCP see posts with timestamp +1 hour from correct time as posted.
When I change option 'Enable Daylight Savings' in AdminCP to off that problem is fixed... WHY ??
Even in adminCP it says " Enable Daylight Savings
If Daylight Savings Time is currently in effect for the above time zone, enable this option so that guests will see the correct times on posts and events. This has no effect on registered users as they control their DST options in the User CP." but it does..
How time is displayed to user shouldn't have anything to do with the server timezone (server *time* obviously needs to be correct, which it is, but the timezone of the server is irrelevant).
Perhaps a better question would be; how does VB5 handle time and displaying it in correct/set timezone per user?
