We've been having this problem if we view the site through Chrome. Editing is still viewable in Safari and Firefox of the same pages, but no area of the site offers editing if opened in Chrome.



We had an issue last month with a member noticing that a bunch of pictures in some threads were just missing. No 'missing pic' symbol, there were just gone. We contacted the image hosts and they advised that older links to pictures that were posted with insecure URLs were affected as https is now standard and as we became a secure site some browsers would stop showing those pictures now, and that was why Chrome wasn't. We used a replacement variable to change the URLs for those specific pictures into https links as the host advised and that worked, they reappeared. But elsewhere even if Chrome shows thumbnails of pictures posted still, it won't allow the link to go through to the image hosting sites. They just open onto blank pages.



So, I wonder if the reason Chrome won't allow editing on the site is linked to this issue of old http: links to pictures being on the site? Something that will become a wider issue when other browsers react to insecure content according to the image hosting company. Is there any way to search for where these insecure links are so that they can be dealt with before the risk of losing editing becomes more common? Or, why else might Chrome specifically be blocking editing and how can we overcome it?
